December 3, 2025. Investigators from the Customs Surveillance Operational Unit of the Tax Agency in Palma de Mallorca, under the direction of the Court of Instruction number 8 of Palma, have carried out an operation that has allowed the seizure of more than 150 kilos of narcotic substances, specifically cocaine, hashish and marijuana, introduced into the island of Mallorca.
The investigation began in May 2025, focusing on an individual of Spanish nationality, born in Llucmajor and based in Mallorca, about whom there were indications of his involvement in activities related to drug trafficking. Through operational activity, the agents managed to identify a 56-year-old Polish truck driver, residing in Valencia, as the one responsible for introducing the narcotic substance to the island.
The investigation determined that the introduction of the drugs was carried out using trucks that regularly made commercial routes originating in Valencia, via ferry. Once on the island, the individual from Llucmajor received the illicit merchandise and redistributed it among various contacts who, at a lower level, operated in Mallorca for its sale at different points on the island.
The operation culminated at the end of October when agents observed the transfer of narcotics between the two individuals in an industrial park in Mallorca, at which point they were arrested. The detainees, responsible for the introduction, distribution and sale of hashish on the island of Mallorca, were part of a structured criminal group.
Subsequently, after conducting several raids and searches at locations related to the suspects, more batches of the introduced narcotic substance were found stored that had not yet been distributed.
In total, more than 140 kilos of hashish, four kilos of marijuana, eight kilos of cocaine and more than 400,000 euros in cash have been seized, an amount linked to the drug trafficking activity carried out. In addition, several vehicles were seized, one of them a high-end vehicle.
The investigation remains open and further arrests are not ruled out.
