More than 12,000 counterfeit items seized in a hidden warehouse at an outlet store in Valencia

  • Three Chinese nationals are being investigated for alleged crimes of smuggling prohibited goods and violating industrial property rights.

June 11, 2025.- Customs Surveillance officers from the Tax Agency and the Civil Guard have seized more than 12,000 counterfeit items found in a hidden warehouse inside an outlet store in Valencia.

The operation, dubbed "Dragon," was launched after receiving information from foreign authorities about the seizure of counterfeit sneakers from China destined for an outlet store in Valencia.

After analyzing the information, an operation was organized on May 20th, together with the Civil Guard's Udaiff (Urban Police Unit) to conduct an inspection of the premises.

During the inspection, a hidden warehouse was discovered containing more than 12,000 items of clothing, footwear, and accessories bearing the logos of well-known brands.

After contacting the brands' representatives, they confirmed that the products were counterfeit and that the estimated value was three million euros.

All merchandise in the warehouse was seized, and a report was issued for an administrative violation involving smuggling involving the sale of clothing and shoes.

The operation was carried out by the Smuggling and Fraud Investigation Group of the Regional Customs Surveillance Area of the Tax Agency in Valencia and the Udaiff of the Valencia Civil Guard.
