May 29, 2025.- The Tax Agency and the Civil Guard have seized 75 kilos of marijuana buds and 7.5 kilos of hashish in three operations carried out at a transport agency and at the addresses of the sender and recipient companies, located in Barcelona and Vila-real (Castellón), respectively.

The operation began on May 14 at the facilities of a transport company, where five large boxes containing eleven kilos of marijuana buds were seized. At that point, the Vila-real Duty Court was requested to enter and search the premises of the shipping operators.

On May 20, these establishments were raided and searched, resulting in the seizure of 64 kilos of buds and 7.5 kilos of hashish.

Two companies and their managers have been investigated for drug smuggling.

These actions were carried out during the periodic inspections that Customs Surveillance and the Udaiff carry out on these types of companies to detect illegal shipments.

As part of preventive measures, regular inspections are carried out on parcel delivery companies to uncover potential illicit shipments used by these entities to avoid detection.

These preventive actions aim to uncover any type of contraband, whether it involves narcotics, as in the present case, or shipments of cash, tobacco products, or any other product that may be subject to restrictions or prohibitions.
