A criminal organization formed by a family clan dedicated to marijuana trafficking in Seville has been dismantled.

  • Nearly 1,000 kilos of marijuana, several firearms and a high-end vehicle were seized.

November 12, 2025. Officials from the Customs Surveillance Operational Unit of the Tax Agency in Seville and agents from Group III of Udyco of BPPJ Seville, within the framework of Operation 'Millaverde/Baton', have dismantled a criminal group formed by a family clan based in the village of Marismillas, in the town of Las Cabezas de San Juan (Seville), which was dedicated to the cultivation and subsequent distribution of marijuana.

The investigation, which began at the beginning of last August, has ended with the arrest of the main members of the investigated organization, responsible for both the production and the subsequent collection, packaging and preparation of the marijuana buds, for their subsequent distribution to third parties.

During the investigation, conducted by the Court of First Instance and Instruction of Lebrija (Seville), the 'modus operandi' of this criminal network was verified, which collected marijuana from numerous indoor and outdoor crops carried out in different homes belonging to the family clan located in the village of Marismillas.

Finally, on October 1st, a large police operation was carried out involving more than 150 officers, to execute a total of eleven search warrants at the homes of the detainees, where more than a ton of marijuana and two kilos of cocaine were seized. In addition, numerous weapons have been seized, including a pistol, a sawed-off shotgun, two 12-gauge shotguns, a modified carbine shotgun to fire live ammunition, two air rifles, and an extendable defense baton. A high-end vehicle and more than 4,000 euros in cash have also been seized.   

As a result of the operation, twenty people, all of Spanish nationality, have been arrested and charged with, among other things, crimes of belonging to a criminal group, drug trafficking, illegal possession of weapons and electricity fraud.

The investigation has been carried out within the permanent framework of collaboration and coordination between the Customs Surveillance Service and the National Police in the fight against drug trafficking in the province of Seville.
