40 kilos of cocaine seized in a container at the port of Marín

  • The drugs were hidden in the refrigeration unit of a container from Peru.

November 21, 2025. The Risk Analysis Unit (UAR) of the port of Marín, made up of Customs Surveillance officials from the Tax Agency and agents from Udaiff of the Civil Guard, have seized more than 40 kilos of cocaine distributed in packages, which was hidden in the refrigeration equipment of a container that arrived at the port of Marín from Peru.

The drug stash was located when investigators decided to inspect a batch of suspicious, high-risk containers at the Maritime Terminal.

During these inspections, which are routinely carried out to detect the introduction of drugs, the members of the UAR found some strange packages in the refrigeration equipment of one of the containers.

Inside, packages containing 41.29 kilos of cocaine were found, according to the 'narcotest' tests.

The investigations remain open for the full clarification of the facts.
