More than a kilo of cocaine seized in the port of Alcudia
- The drugs were traveling hidden under the seat of a vehicle that had been transported on the regular Barcelona-Alcudia line vessel.
September 12, 2025.- Customs Surveillance officers from the Tax Agency, in collaboration with Civil Guard officers, have arrested a 33-year-old Spanish man as the alleged perpetrator of a drug trafficking crime in the port of Alcudia.
As part of Operation Tebal, Customs Surveillance investigators and officers from various units of the Balearic Civil Guard carried out intensive and random inspections of the landing stage of the Barcelona-Alcudia liner.
Once the ship docked, the vehicles that were disembarking were checked and inspected. At that point, officers and a drug-detecting dog began inspecting the vehicle's exterior and interior. Once inside, the dog from the Canine Service showed marked interest in a specific area of the vehicle, and the officers proceeded to conduct a manual inspection. Hidden inside the vehicle, under the seat, officers found a large tablet weighing 1.12 kilos gross.
The agents proceeded to test the substance using chemical detectors, which tested positive for cocaine.
Therefore, the officers proceeded to arrest the man as the alleged perpetrator of a drug trafficking crime.
