April 1, 2026. Customs Surveillance officials from the Tax Agency in Seville, together with agents from the National Police, as part of Operation 'Mirador', have dismantled two indoor marijuana cultivations in the Sevillian town of Dos Hermanas. The operation resulted in the seizure of 2,028 marijuana plants, weighing over 100 kilos, and the arrest of one individual, as well as the investigation of two other people in connection with the events.
The operation originated from various reports indicating that several homes might be being used for the installation of indoor marijuana plantations. The people who lived in these properties had also caused altercations with other neighbors, seriously damaging neighborhood coexistence.
Following surveillance and investigative procedures, the existence of two indoor marijuana grow operations, intended for subsequent distribution, was verified.
As a result of the police operation, three searches were carried out, in which 2,028 marijuana plants were seized, weighing more than 100 kilos, as well as about twenty cartridges. In addition, one individual was arrested, and two other people were investigated in connection with the events.
During the operation, the electrical system used to power the plantations was also disabled, as the properties were fraudulently connected to the general electricity supply to maximize the profits of the illegal activity.
The investigation is still ongoing and further arrests are not ruled out.
