More than 1,000 packs of contraband cigarettes seized in La Farga de Moles

The merchandise was located by the Customs Fiscal Guard inside a vehicle coming from Andorra
April 21, 2026. The Tax Agency and the Civil Guard of the Fiscal Guard, under the direction of the Administrator of Customs and Excise Duties. The Tax Agency in La Farga de Moles seized 1,020 packs of cigarettes of different brands along with three kilos of loose tobacco, valued at 5,644 euros, on April 12th, and issued a report for administrative smuggling offense.
The intervention occurred at about 10:25 p.m., when a vehicle with French registration entered the Farga de Moles Customs from Andorra via the green lane (nothing to declare).
After conducting a visual inspection, the officers noticed a nervous attitude from the driver. Next, on the orders of the officers, the driver opened the trunk of his vehicle, where 1,020 packs of cigarettes of different brands and three kilos of loose tobacco were discovered. The discovered merchandise has a value of 5,644 euros.
Once the merchandise discovered by the agents was verified at the Tax Agency premises, the Passenger Service proceeded to carry out the corresponding seizure procedure for an alleged administrative offense of smuggling, leaving the seized goods deposited in the Customs of La Farga de Moles, at the disposal of the Customs Authority.
This action falls within the scope of the Fiscal Protection Office's fiscal responsibilities, exercising the functions and actions aimed at preventing and prosecuting smuggling, drug trafficking, fraud, and other fiscal crimes/infractions.
