April 27, 2026. The Customs Surveillance Service of the Tax Agency in Seville and the Civil Guard have dismantled twelve marijuana crops in the town of Osuna (Seville) in two operations carried out last March. The operation resulted in the seizure of 2,742 cannabis plants and the arrest of twelve people accused of drug trafficking and electricity fraud.
The first of the actions took place on March 18. Five searches were carried out and 1,546 marijuana plants in an advanced state of flowering were seized in seven crops. In addition, four individuals were arrested, including the main suspect, for whom the judicial authority ordered imprisonment.
The second operation took place on March 25th. Six house searches were carried out and 1,196 marijuana plants were seized in five crops, in addition to 19 kilos of buds and chopped material ready for sale. In this operation, eight individuals were arrested in connection with the events under investigation.
In addition, illegal connections to the electrical grid were detected in both operations, so the detainees are charged with crimes of electricity fraud as well as drug trafficking.
The seized items, as well as the detainees, all residents of Osuna, have been placed at the disposal of the judicial authority.
The operation, which is part of the ongoing collaboration between the Customs Surveillance Service and the Civil Guard in the fight against drug trafficking in the province of Seville, was carried out by the Operational Unit of the Customs Surveillance Service of the Tax Agency in Seville, together with the Territorial Unit of the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard Company of Osuna, with the support of the Reaction and Intervention Group (GRI) of the General Sub-Directorate of Customs Surveillance Operations and the Usesic of the Seville Command.
