1,600 kilos of hashish seized on a boat in the Huelva estuary

Five people have been arrested and the boat where the drugs were being transported and six jerrycans of fuel have been seized.
July 13, 2026. Customs Surveillance of the Tax Agency and the Civil Guard have seized 1,600 kilos of hashish on a 10-meter-long boat in the Huelva estuary and have arrested five people for an alleged crime against public health.
The operation was carried out after becoming aware of the possible entry of drugs to the coast of Huelva.
Once the investigators detected the vessel that might be transporting the narcotics in the Huelva estuary, they proceeded to inspect it. Inside, 41 bales of cannabis resin (hashish) and six 25-liter flasks of fuel were found. At that moment, the agents proceeded to arrest five people, who have been transferred to police facilities, and to seize the vessel where the drugs were being transported.
The detainees will be brought before the court, along with the seized drugs and the confiscated vessel.
The operation involved Customs Surveillance of the Tax Agency in Huelva and the Edoa of Huelva, the Regional Center for Analysis and Intelligence Against Drug Trafficking (CRAIN) of the IV Zone, Provincial Maritime Service of Huelva (Smp) and the Central Operational Services Huelva (Cos) of the Civil Guard.
