June 10, 2026. Customs Surveillance officials from the Tax Agency and National Police officers in Seville have dismantled a criminal organization dedicated to marijuana trafficking that used several logistical points distributed throughout the province of Seville to carry out the illegal activity. The operation resulted in the arrest of five people and the seizure of 200 kilos of buds and 85 kilos of marijuana plants.
The investigation began last April, when investigators detected suspicious movements in an industrial building located in the town of La Luisiana (Seville).
After inspecting the warehouse, investigators found a truck loaded with bags of potato chips. Inside, it was discovered that, hidden among the legal merchandise, were numerous vacuum-sealed bags of marijuana buds, with a total weight of 166 kilos.
In this first phase of the operation, three people were arrested, and the judicial authority ordered their immediate imprisonment.
Subsequently, the second phase of the operation focused on identifying individuals who were providing local support for the commission of the investigated acts.
This phase ended last May with the execution of a house search in the village of Marismillas belonging to the town of Las Cabezas de San Juan (Seville).
As a result of the search, an outdoor marijuana plantation was dismantled, another 35 kilos of buds were seized inside the house being searched, and two other individuals were arrested.
The investigation has been carried out by the Operational Units of Seville and Malaga of the Customs Surveillance Service of the Tax Agency and by agents of the National Police of Seville.
