A weekly review of the Agency's news

This is the first edition of the newsletter of the Tax Agency.

We live in a world where staying up to date is a challenge. For this reason, public administrations must offer citizens the possibility of easily accessing all the information that may interest them. In the ever-changing tax field, this is even more necessary, hence this new initiative by the Tax Agency.

Having a website / electronic site that allows easy location of new content and having news alert systems are useful formulas for this informative purpose, which are now complemented by the launch of a newsletter weekly newsletter that will summarise the main new features added to the Tax Agency's website/electronic office in the previous days and will include the corresponding links so that anyone who wishes to do so can access the complete information.

Order newsletter It will begin with an introductory section, like the one you are reading now, which will include institutional information to contribute to a better understanding of the Tax Agency.

The section on highlighted news will include information on regulatory and procedural changes, tax procedures and deadlines, administrative criteria and other relevant content recently added to the website / electronic office.

Press releases issued by the Tax Agency in the previous days will also be included.

Likewise, the most recently published tax statistics will be included.

Although the newsletter It is designed to be read online, there is the option to download it in PDF format.

Order newsletter It can be a useful tool for all those who have a direct role in the application of the tax system and need to have permanently updated information, such as advisors and managers, taxpayers with periodic obligations, civil servants, but also for taxpayers in general and citizens who want to be aware of the main developments, which will be within their reach if they subscribe to the newsletter and dedicate a few minutes to reading it each week.

The application of the tax system is a collective task. The voluntary compliance of the tax obligations by the vast majority of taxpayers is a reality that facilitates tax revenues to ensure the maintenance of the welfare state. The Tax Agency, in collaboration with the other tax administrations, must facilitate voluntary compliance with increasingly better information and assistance services and, of course, must also develop actions to prevent and control non-compliance and tax fraud.

Transparency and information to the general public and taxpayers in particular are an essential part of the Tax Agency's commitment to voluntary compliance and newsletter comes to reinforce this commitment.

We stay in touch week after week.
