Income Campaign. The Tax Agency has returned 8,676 million euros to 11.7 million personal income tax filers until July 31. 80% of the refunds to taxpayers from the 2007 Income Campaign have already been paid.

August 5, 2008. The Tax Agency has paid - until July 31 - 8,676 million euros to 11.7 million filers of the Personal Income Tax (IRPF), which represents an increase of 16.27 percent in amount and 13.46 percent in number of returns compared to those made in the same period last year. With these refunds, more than 80 percent of taxpayers are entitled to refunds from the 2007 Income Campaign.

During the entire campaign, 18.1 million personal income tax returns were filed, 6.6 percent more than the previous year. Of which, 5.6 million submitted online, 25 percent more than the previous year. 13.2 million drafts and tax data were also sent, and for the 2008 personal income tax campaign, the sending of another 15.5 million tax data and drafts has been requested.
