More than 400,000 families have received payment for the birth or adoption of children in the first year of application of the measure
- The Tax Agency has paid a total of 1,002 million euros
- Madrid and Barcelona are the provinces with the highest number of beneficiaries
August 7, 2008. The Tax Agency has paid out just over 1 billion euros to the 401,371 families who received the 2,500 euro payment for the birth or adoption of children from 1 July 2007 to 30 June 2008. Andalusia, Madrid and Catalonia are the autonomous communities with the highest number of beneficiary families.
