It has already been returned to 96.9% of the taxpayers who requested it, while the amount paid is 99.4% of the amount requested.

The Tax Agency has returned -up to December 29- 11.283 million Euros to more than fourteen million taxpayers corresponding to the liquidation of the 2007 Personal Income Tax (IRPF) tax year. The amount of the returns represents 99.4% of the total requested, and the number of returns represents 96.9% of those requested.

Compared to the same period last year, the amount has increased by 10%, up from 10.228 billion euros in 2007, and the number of taxpayers has increased by 9%, up from 12.9 million in 2007.

During the 2007 personal income tax campaign, 18.1 million personal income tax returns were filed, 6.6% more than the previous year. Of these, 5.6 million were submitted online, 25% more than the previous year. A total of 13.2 million tax forms and drafts were also sent, and for the 2008 personal income tax campaign, a further 15.5 million tax forms and drafts have been requested.
