The Tax Agency has returned - until December 29 - 11,283 million euros to more than fourteen million taxpayers corresponding to the settlement of the 2007 financial year of the Personal Income Tax (IRPF). The amount of refunds represents 99.4% of the total requested, and the number of refunds represents 96.9% of those requested.

Compared to last year at the same time, the increase is 10% in the amount, in 2007 it was 10,228 million euros, and 9% in the number of taxpayers, which in 2007 was 12.9 million.

During the 2007 personal income tax campaign, 18.1 million personal income tax returns were filed, 6.6% more than the previous year. Of which 5.6 million were submitted online, 25% more than the previous year. 13.2 million drafts and tax data were also sent, and for the 2008 personal income tax campaign, the sending of another 15.5 million tax data and drafts has been requested.
