The amount of payments is close to 400 million euros. As of December 31, 214,000 births or adoptions had been reported. Applications can be submitted online, at the Tax Agency offices or by calling 901 200 345.

January 3, 2008. The Tax Agency has paid until December 31 to 159,517 families benefiting from the 2,500 euros for birth or adoption, as provided for by Law 35/2007 approved on November 6. In this way, the initial forecasts of making 120,000 payments in 2007 are exceeded. The total amount paid to families is 398.6 million euros. The average waiting time to receive the money is approximately thirty days from application.

Since July 1, 214,005 applications for payment for birth or adoption have been submitted. New applications can be submitted online with an electronic signature through the page sede.agenciatributaria.gob.es , at the Tax Agency offices or by calling 901 200 345.
