The Tax Agency clarifies that taxpayer service is carried out with absolute normality in all its Administrations

Madrid June 19

Attention to taxpayers is carried out with absolute normality in all the Administrations of the Tax Agency and there is no type of significant incidence. The Tax Agency thus denies that there is a situation of collapse in its offices and again warns of the serious irresponsibility of transmitting untrue information to the public about the development of the Renta campaign.

Regarding the appointment service and possible revisions of drafts, the Tax Agency clarifies that:

• The assistance by appointment for this Renta campaign has been running smoothly since the beginning of May. Most of the taxpayers who benefit from this service have already requested their appointment. It is expected to serve three million citizens.

• With 11 days to go until the campaign closes, 85,000 appointments are still available. Taxpayers who have not yet requested their appointment may do so until the 27th.

• From 19 to 30 June, more than 440,000 appointments have been made.

• Taxpayers can file their tax returns at the Tax Agency's offices, online (the method used to file 40% of returns) or through financial institutions until Monday 30 June.

The request, sending and confirmation of drafts is above the campaign of a year ago. The number of incidents of rectifications in relation to returns filed is less than 2%, in line with previous years.
