There are two procedures to submit the communication for the collection of the 2,500 euros:
-
When the beneficiary carries out a paid activity for which he is registered with Social Security or a Mutual Insurance Company and does not reside in the Basque Country or Navarre
If advance payment of the maternity deduction is requested, submitting application form 140 to request payment of the 100 euros per month implicitly means that payment of the new tax deduction of 2,500 euros is also being requested. Those who have already requested payment of 100 euros do not need to take any further steps.
Form 140 can be obtained online ( sede.agenciatributaria.gob.es ) and also at the Tax Agency's Delegations and Administrations, at civil registries and at other public bodies. The model can be submitted electronically (with an electronic signature certificate or electronic ID), in print or by telephone (901200345).
If you wish to submit your application by telephone, you must provide your ID number, the amount stated in box 681 of your personal income tax return, the date of birth or adoption of the child, the Social Security or mutual insurance number and the current account number.
For more information on the application procedure, you can call the telephone number 901200345, mentioned above, or 901335533 (Basic tax information).
-
When the beneficiary does not carry out a paid activity and is not registered with Social Security, or resides in the Basque Country or Navarre
In this case, Form 141 must be submitted, which is available on the Internet (sede.agenciatributaria.gob.es www.seg-social.es) and at the offices of the Tax Agency and at the Social Security Information and Service Centers. The form can be submitted at these offices or at any other public office.
In addition to the identifying data of the mother (or beneficiary) and the child, and the beneficiary's current account, the form must include information about the Civil Registry in which the birth or adoption was registered and the Volume and Page in which the registration was made.
For information on the application process or assistance for the 2,500 euro benefit for birth or adoption, you can visit the Tax Agency website: sede.agenciatributaria.gob.es , or you can call 901200345 or 901335533.
