The Spanish Tax Agency warns of a new attempted fraud via the Internet

The Tax Agency has detected a sending of email communications in which reference is made to a fictitious tax refund, which is supposedly sent by the address: informacion.fiscal@meh.es and which is signed by a simulated agent of the non-existent “Tax Credit Office”.

The email indicates that in order to have the money you must access a web address where you must provide bank card information.

The Tax Agency has taken the necessary measures to prosecute this attempted fraud and remembers that the best measure is to prevent users from suspicious communications that include the request for bank details. The Tax Agency never requests confidential information, neither account numbers nor taxpayer card numbers, by email.
