The Spanish Tax Agency warns of a new attempted fraud via the Internet
The Tax Agency has detected a sending of communications by email in which reference is made to a fictitious tax refund, which is supposedly sent by the address: información.fiscal@meh.es and which is signed by a fake agent of the non-existent “Tax Credit Office”.
The email states that in order to access the money, you must access a web address where you must provide bank card details.
The Tax Agency has taken the necessary measures to pursue this attempted fraud and reminds users that the best measure is to prevent suspicious communications that include requests for bank details. The Tax Agency never requests confidential information, such as account numbers or card numbers from taxpayers, by email.
