The Tax Agency has already returned over 6.8 billion euros to 10.6 million tax payers following the end of the campaign
The 2012 Income Campaign has concluded
-
Almost seven out of every ten income tax presentations have been made online, a way to file the declaration that 1,270,000 more taxpayers have used this year than in the previous campaign.
- More than 76% of the requested refunds have already been paid
- The drafts presented exceed 8.6 million, highlighting online confirmations, which grew by 14.7% compared to the last campaign, driven by the expansion of the draft profile
- The REN0 service has been used by more than 14.4 million taxpayers, 14.4% more than the previous year
- During the campaign, almost 2.4 million in-person appointments and more than 7.3 million calls have been attended
July 5, 2013.- The Tax Agency has already returned, as of July 1, 6,487 million euros, corresponding to more than 10,600,000 taxpayers, in the Tax campaign on Personal Income Tax (IRPF) of 2012. In this way, more than 76% of the requested refunds have already been paid to taxpayers.
This year the Income Campaign has once again been marked by a noticeable acceleration in the rates of returns in its first phase, thanks to the greater use of the Internet as a means for processing returns. As of July 1, the closing day of the campaign, the returns paid grew by 0.43% in number and 2.28% in amount in relation to the returns paid as of July 2, 2012 of the campaign. from last year (IRPF 2011) despite the fact that the refunds requested in the current campaign have fallen by 2.08% in number and 2.63% in amount.
The main determining factor in the acceleration of returns in this first phase of the campaign has been the strong increase registered, also this year, in the use of the Internet, both for the confirmation of drafts and declarations with the PADRE aid program, with an increase in telematic presentations of 14.7% and 9.5%, respectively.
The expansion of the draft profile to new assumptions has also favored the acceleration of Income tax refunds, which has facilitated a 6% growth in confirmed drafts, which total more than 8.6 million.
New boost to internet use
As of July 1, of the more than 17.5 million declarations presented (including drafts and other declarations), more than 11.9 million, 68%, have been submitted online, bringing the weight of This presentation route on the total has grown more than seven points in one year. In fact, there have been 1,270,000 more taxpayers than last year who have used the internet to present their income in this campaign.
If the figures are compared with those of two years ago, when the Tax Agency launched tools such as the REN0 service to quickly obtain the draft and tax data online, there are now 3 million more taxpayers who file their income online. , streamlining the presentation procedures and, where appropriate, returns.
The increase in online filings has been accompanied by a drop in returns filed through financial entities and by appointment. In this campaign, almost 2.4 million appointments have been granted to prepare the declaration, 9.7% less, without this having implied greater pressure on the personalized attention that is usually provided through the Income platforms, and They have answered 7.3 million phone calls to facilitate the presentation.
This strong increase in the use of the Internet for the presentation of drafts and income tax returns is also reflected in the greater use of the REN0 service, which has been used by 14,450,000 taxpayers, 14.4% more than the year past.
Wealth Tax
In parallel to the Personal Income Tax Campaign, the Agency has developed the campaign for Wealth Tax, which must be declared by taxpayers who owe taxes (after applying relevant deductions and discounts) and by taxpayers who do not owe taxes but who last year had assets and rights worth over 2 million euros.
At the end of the campaign, just over 173,000 Asset declarations had been submitted and the amount to be deposited reached 912 million euros.
