The Tax Agency has returned €9.9 billion to almost 14 million Personal Income Tax payers

• At the end of the year, more than 96% of the returns and 93% of the amounts requested have already been paid

• More than 14.6 million declarations have been submitted online, 700,000 more than in the previous campaign

• Declarations with the PADRE program grow by 8%, which have been able to be presented since the first day of the campaign

 

January 4, 2016.- The Tax Agency has already completed 96.5% of the returns corresponding to the 2014 Income Campaign, so that, at the end of last year, more than 13,955,000 taxpayers of the Income Tax Personal Income Tax (IRPF) had obtained their refund, for a global amount of 9,886 million euros, 93.2% of the total. Both in number of declarations and amount, returns maintain the level of progress of the previous campaign.

The total number of declarations submitted, just over 19,417,000, confirms the first increase in the number of personal income tax filers (0.85%) in the last three Income Tax campaigns.

Of this global number of declarations, more than three quarters, 75.6%, have been filed online, a route used by 14.6 million taxpayers, 700,000 more than the previous year, when there was already a strong increase in the electronic presentation after the improvements incorporated to the PADRE program to reinforce its usability and speed up the presentation.

After opening the possibility of submitting declarations with the PADRE program from the first day of the campaign, this last year the submissions with this aid program and equivalent have increased significantly, by more than 864,000, reducing the volume of submission of drafts by a similar amount. of personal income tax. This year, almost 60% of the returns submitted are returns prepared with PADRE and similar support services, and 40% are confirmed drafts.

In turn, the increase registered in personal income tax filings online (5%) is concentrated in the declarations prepared with the different existing aid programs and with the tax data provided by the Tax Agency, with a growth of 8.6%. , compared to maintaining the online presentation of drafts.

During the 2014 Income Campaign, the Tax Agency has made almost 23.6 million drafts and tax data available to citizens, has processed more than 15.4 million REN0 reference numbers and has used the 'PIN Code' on more than 1.5 million occasions, either for the processing of requests for drafts and tax data, or for the presentation of declarations themselves.
