By year-end, the Tax Agency refunded more than 9.3 billion euros to 13.5 million taxpayers
2017 Income Tax campaign
- It assumes that almost 97% of the returns have been made and more than 93% of the total amount requested
- The number of declarations submitted has grown by more than 260,000 compared to the previous year and allows the recovery that began in 2015 to be maintained and the highest figure in the series to be recorded.
January 4, 2019 .- The Tax Agency, as of December 28, 2018, has already made 96.6% of the refunds corresponding to the 2017 Income Campaign. This means that, at the end of last year, more than 13,502,000 taxpayers have obtained the refund corresponding to their Personal Income Tax (IRPF) declaration. The global amount returned amounts to 9,327 million euros, which represents 93.14% of the total requested.
The declarations presented in the last Income Campaign were 19,988,643, which is 260,000 more than the previous year. An increase that allows the recovery of the number of personal income tax filers that began in 2015 to be maintained. In fact, this is the highest number of filings in the series.
One of the novelties of the last Income Campaign has been the launch of a new mobile application that has made the presentation of the declaration even faster. Specifically, the new 'APP' has been used by almost 200,000 taxpayers to file their Income Tax, of which almost 158,000 have been declarations submitted 'in a single click' and the rest after going through the Agency's website to complete some modification.
With this mobile tool, which allows you to present the declaration with 'a single click' as long as it is not necessary to make any changes to the tax data, the Tax Agency continues to take steps that keep it at the technological forefront with the sole reason of facilitating the relationship. with the taxpayer.
Proof of this is also that until November 15, a total of 15,864,631 taxpayers had accessed the Renta Web portal to perform any of the functions or make queries that the program allows.
However, this commitment to technology is compatible with offering solutions through more traditional means. In this sense, 141,000 taxpayers with a profile less accustomed to new technologies have chosen to set a date and time for the AEAT to call them and have presented their declaration using the 'We Call You' plan, another of the novelties of the last Campaign of the Income.
