Starting tomorrow, gas stations will be able to request a 20 cent advance on fuel

  • The application form will be posted on the Tax Agency's website
  • All service stations will be able to submit the application, which will only require the inclusion of identification data and a bank account number to make the payment.
  • Once the applications have been received, the first payments will be made by the Agency next week.

March 31, 2022 .- Tomorrow, the Tax Agency will make available to all service stations the online form to request the advance on account of the 20 cent discount that they will begin to apply to users on the price of fuels and combustibles, in accordance with Royal Decree-Law 6/2022, of March 30.

The form will be published on the Agency's electronic headquarters, ( https://sede.agenciatributaria.gob.es ), and in it the service stations will only have to fill in the identification data and a bank account number into which the advance must be paid. To submit the form, authentication with the Clave system or electronic certificate is required.

Once the applications have been received, the Agency will begin making payments next week. These advances on account may be requested for the maximum amount of the bonus, which would correspond to 90% of the average monthly volume of the products included in the target scope of the bonus that the service station has sold in 2021, according to what is reported to the census of companies that make direct sales to end consumers. The amount of the advance, as established in the Royal Decree-Law, may not exceed two million euros, nor less than 1,000 euros.

At the same time, the Tax Agency will work on developing, as quickly as possible, the specific online form for requesting the monthly refund of the bonuses applied, and also the two forms required for the beneficiaries of the aid provided for in the Royal Decree-Law for the gas-intensive industry and for the transport sector to request the single payment.
