November 22, 2022.- The Tax Agency and the Civil Guard, in a joint operation, have seized 2,415 kilos of hashish hidden on a farm in Ayamonte and have arrested one person as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health.
The events occurred when the Guardia Civil headquarters became aware of the existence of a semi-rigid boat near the coast of Ayamonte (Huelva), from which drugs could have been transferred to two other boats that were also in the area.
For all these reasons, a device was established in which Customs Surveillance officials from the Tax Agency and several Civil Guard units participated, who went to the place where the possible unloading of the drugs took place.
After inspecting the area, two vans were found that were reported stolen and were used to transport the hashish. It was also possible to locate the place where the drug could be stored, a farm in the town of Ayamonte.
After requesting entry and registration of the property by the competent judicial authority due to evidence of drug storage, 69 bales of hashish, a pistol, two magazines with ammunition, several boxes of mobile phones, SIM cards and license plates of five different vehicles were seized inside.
The detainee and the proceedings will be sent to the Investigating Court No. 2 of Ayamonte.
The operation included Customs Surveillance officers from the Tax Agency, OCON-EDOA anti-drug trafficking agents from the Huelva Civil Guard Command and the Fiscal and Border Patrol from Ayamonte.
