February 14, 2023 .- Tomorrow, the Tax Agency will make available to all potential beneficiaries the online form with which to request the new aid of 200 euros for people with low income and assets established by Royal Decree-Law 20/2022, of December 27. The Royal Decree establishes that applicants have until March 31 to apply for aid and that the deadline for payment by the Agency is three months from then.

The form will be published in the highlighted information section of the Agency's electronic headquarters ( https://sede.agenciatributaria.gob.es ) and it will only be necessary to fill in the identification data and address of the applicant and the people with whom he or she lives in the home, as well as a contact telephone number and the bank account number to make the payment of the aid.

Brochures and explanatory videos

In the weeks prior to the start of the application period, the Agency had already made available a space on its website for the new €200 grant to facilitate the viewing of a specific block of frequently asked questions and to encourage potential applicants who are not registered in the 'Clave' system, nor do they have an electronic certificate, to carry out this simple registration procedure in 'Clave' online or by video call, avoiding travel, or in the offices of the Agency or other public bodies. Registration for 'Clave' only requires providing ID details and a mobile phone number.

All the necessary information regarding this procedure, as well as the information related to the 200 Euro aid, will also be included in brochures and explanatory videos that will be published on the Agency's website, and all of this will be complemented by information posters in the customer service areas of the offices throughout the country.

Beneficiary groups and requirements

The aid consists of a one-off payment of 200 euros for self-employed or employed workers and beneficiaries of unemployment benefits or subsidies in 2022 who last year did not exceed 27,000 euros of gross income and whose assets – excluding their primary residence – did not exceed 75,000 euros. Beneficiaries must have habitual residence in Spain in 2022.

To calculate the amounts, the income and assets of the following people who live in the same home must be added together: the beneficiary himself; your spouse or common-law partner; descendants under 25 years of age, or with disabilities, with income not exceeding 8,000 euros; and ancestors up to the second degree in a direct line (parents and grandparents).

As with the previous 200 euro aid, the aim of this new one-off payment is to mitigate the detrimental effect on prices caused by the energy crisis resulting from the invasion of Ukraine in situations of economic vulnerability not covered by other social benefits. In this sense, the increase in contributory pensions is already guaranteed in line with inflation, while the Minimum Vital Income (IMV) and non-contributory pensions already benefit from an extraordinary increase of 15%. Therefore, recipients of IMV and Social Security pensions as of December 31, 2022 are not eligible for this aid.

Furthermore, the Royal Decree establishes the requirement that none of the aforementioned cohabitants should be a director of an active company in 2022, nor the owner of unlisted shares or interests.
