Agreement between the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Spain and the United States of America by which the procedures to be followed for the automatic exchange of information described in article 2 of the FATCA Agreement and the procedures necessary for the exchange of communicated information in virtue of article 4 (1) (b) of the same Agreement are established.

An agreement was published on 15 January 2016 between the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Spain and the United States of America by which the procedures to be followed for the automatic exchange of information described in article 2 of the FATCA Agreement and the procedures necessary for the exchange of communicated information in virtue of article 4 (1) (b) of the same agreement are established.

This Agreement was signed in quadruplicate in the Spanish and English languages by the competent Spanish authority on 11 November 2015 and by the competent United States authority on 30 November 2015, all of the texts being equally authentic. As agreed between both parties, the English language text will be used to resolve any divergence in interpretation. The Agreement is in effect as of 30 November 2015, in accordance with what is established in section 7 thereof.
