4.6. Right to the limitation of the processing

According to article 18 of EU Regulation 2016/679.

Right to restrict processing

  1. The data subject will have the right to restrict the processing of their data by the controller when any of the following conditions are met:
    1. The data subject challenges the accuracy of the personal data, for a period that allows the controller to verify such accuracy.
    2. The data processing is unlawful and the data subject objects to the erasure of the personal data and, instead, asks for restriction of use.
    3. The data controller no longer needs the personal data for the purposes of processing, but the data subject needs them to prepare, the exercise or defence of claims.
    4. the data subject has objected to the processing pursuant to Article 21(1), pending verification whether the legitimate grounds of the controller override those of the data subject.
