Start of telephone assistance and special assistance plan for people over 65 years of age in small municipalities in the 2023 Income Tax Campaign

From May 7 to July 1, 2024, the Tax Agency will begin to provide the service of preparing and filing Income Tax returns by telephone and the special assistance plan for people over 65 in small municipalities, both with appointment requests from April 29 to June 28, 2024, which allows taxpayers to be served in a personalized manner until the end of the campaign.

The main novelty of this campaign is the launch of a special plan for the preparation and presentation of Income Tax Returns for people over 65 years of age who have their tax domicile in these small municipalities and who are residents of nearby towns: List of municipalities over 65 . Thanks to the collaboration and technical means provided by these town councils, those over 65 who make an appointment will be assisted by Tax Agency staff via video assistance, so that they will receive the same personalized attention as any other taxpayer, but in the facilities made available to them by the town councils of these small municipalities.

With this special plan, which will be disseminated through posters and leaflets in the municipalities included in the plan, the Tax Agency aims to advance a model of citizen assistance that combines all types of customer service depending on each service and the availability at any given time, maintaining a special sensitivity towards the elderly group in line with the protocol signed with the Platform for the Elderly and Pensioners.

As in previous years, if at any given time the taxpayer does not find any appointments available, this will not mean that there are no appointments left, but rather that more appointments will be opened again in the following days.

In order to mitigate the possible loss of appointments to the detriment of all taxpayers, the Tax Agency reminds citizens that they can cancel their appointment through any of the channels enabled for obtaining it, if they have decided not to use it. The enabled routes are: Internet (with NIF/NIE or electronic DNI, electronic certificate, Cl@ve PIN or reference), "Agencia Tributaria" App, automatic telephone (91 535 73 26 or 901 12 12 24) or telephone for an appointment for Income Tax with personal attention (91 553 00 71 or 901 22 33 44. Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm).
