II.3.1. Use of the Union statute test

The test of the Union's status is determined as follows:

  1. The interested party provides proof of the Union's status by one of the means listed in section II.2.3.4;
  2. The customs authority of departure endorses the evidence, if necessary;
  3. The customs authority of departure records the evidence, if applicable
    necessary.

The test medium is successively used as follows:

  1. The interested party may transport the goods. Upon re-entry into the customs territory of the Union, the evidence shall be presented to the customs authority upon arrival.
  2. The customs authority at the re-entry point will monitor the proper use of the evidence, i.e., its authenticity, its proper use, etc.

To facilitate this oversight, the customs office at the re-entry point where the test was presented will seal the re-entry form, if applicable, to prevent it from being reused.
