V.3.3.1.4. Mixed shipments

Article 28 of Appendix I to the Convention
Article 294 of the AE

Appendix D1 of Annex 9 of the ADT
Annex B of the AE

If a single transit declaration contains a consignment comprising non-Union goods under the T1 transit procedure and Union goods under the T2/T2F procedure, the SAD shall be supplemented by SAD-BIS forms (see section V.3.3.2.2) or loading lists (see section V.3.3.2.3) attached to it. The SAD will provide common information and a summary of the SAD-BIS forms or loading lists used for goods with different status. Each SAD-BIS form or loading list will include goods with the same customs status. When the code "T-" appears in the third subdivision of box 1 of the SAD, the third subdivision of box 1 ("Declaration") of the SAD-BIS form must include the code "T1 bis", "T2 bis" or "T2F bis", as the case may be.

If the DAT is used as a paper transit declaration, the code "T-" shall be indicated in the right-hand subdivision of box 1 and the relevant code (T1, T2 or T2F) shall be entered for each item in the list of articles in box 1/3.

Unless the shipment is mixed, unused boxes 31 ("Description of goods") must be crossed out to prevent their subsequent use.
Failing this, separate SAD or DATs may be issued (for example, a T1 SAD/DAT for non-Union goods and a T2 or T2F SAD/DAT for Union goods).

Note: It may happen that Union goods not included in the transit procedure (and circulating through the customs territory of the Union) are transported in the same means as the goods included in the transit procedure. In such a case, the transit declaration will only include the goods subject to the transit regime.
