How can you apply for the EORI number?
Article 6 of the Union Customs Code implies that any exchange of information, such as declarations, requests or decisions, between customs authorities and between them and economic operators and the storage of such information necessary under customs legislation must be carried out through electronic data processing techniques. In Spain, the request for the EORI number must be carried out using the procedures on this same page or from “All procedures” on this website.
Only in those cases in which they are carriers that are not established in the EU and are not required to obtain a NIF in Spain, the “EORI application for non-established” form has been created in order to facilitate their registration without need to obtain a prior NIF. This form can be submitted on paper at any Customs and II.EE Office, in person or through a representative, in which case, your contact information must be entered in the corresponding box.
Each Member State is competent to register those operators established therein. Therefore, Spanish customs is competent to register operators established in Spain.
