The most common way to navigate through this new site will be to click on any of the texts that appear in blue (in white on a blue background in some areas, such as the header, menu bar or footer), both on the home page itself and in any of the topics / subtopics, blocks, components, information pages, etc. throughout the entire website.
This information structure, combined with the “Highlighted Management” components, enables very simple navigation, allowing access to the most important and frequently used management tasks in two or, in some cases, three navigation levels at most.
When accessing any topic from any of the blocks mentioned above, a two-column page is displayed:
- The left column contains the topics that make up the block in question, among which the selected topic appears in blue background, making it possible to easily change topics by clicking on any other topic.
- The right column contains, first, the featured actions component (if applicable) that would allow access to any of the most used actions of the topic, and then the list of sub-topics, which can be selected by clicking on any of them.
Once a subtopic is selected, a two-column page is presented again:
The left column contains the list of sub-topics of the previously selected topic, among which the selected sub-topic appears in blue background, making it possible to easily change sub-topics by clicking on any other sub-topic.
The right column contains:
- The “Featured Tasks” component if applicable, which allows quick access to any of the most important or used tasks in the sub-topic.
- “Information” section , if applicable, which will consist of one or more pages with information about the sub-topic in question, its procedures, etc.
There are two types of information pages:
- Simple: Composed of a single page with the corresponding information. Example of a “simple” information page:
- Multiple or paginated: Composed of several pages, each with an index that allows direct access to any of them. Example of a “Multiple or paginated” information page:
In both cases, these pages also consist of two columns: The left column contains the information itself, and the right column may contain components of highlighted actions, related content, regulations, etc.
- Section “Help” , if applicable, which may consist of one or more documents (Word, pdf, etc.) with more detailed information on the topic/sub-topic in question.
- Section “Related content” , if applicable, which contains links to content located in other sections or subtopics of the site, but which has some type of relationship with the subtopic in question.
- Section “Regulations” , if applicable, which contains the list of Regulations on the topic/sub-topic in question.
- “Frequently Asked Questions” section, if applicable, which contains a list of frequently asked questions related to the topic/subtopic in question. In general, this component, if it exists, will also be folded.
In general, these last three sections are presented folded, so as not to “dirty” the pages with too much information, but they are easily expandable/collapsible by clicking on the vertical arrows on the right side of the component.
