Sectoral mobility flows

The flow perspective is also adopted with respect to the sector of activity; from this perspective, the proportion of work assigned to each sector of activity of the withholding entity/s or company/s is imputed based on the remuneration received by an employee in each of the sectors of activity for which he/she provides his/her service/s. This perspective allows us to analyze the changes, contractions or expansions in salaried employment caused by changes in the economic situation of activities that employ salaried labor.

From an activity perspective, it must be taken into account that for salaried workers who remain in the labor market for two consecutive years, it is not necessarily true that a salaried worker who in year t is part of the inflow of a sector of activity generates an exit from the Labor Market in that same sector of activity or in another where he was a salaried worker in year (t-1). This is because an employee can work in different sectors in the same year. Also, the total balance of inflows, from a sectoral perspective in year t, coincides with the outflow of year t-1.

The analysis of the Labor Market from the perspective of employment movement between consecutive years motivated by the change of residence of the employee or by the movement in the sector of activity of the employee has been defined, in a broad sense, as Flows.
