3.2.1. Tax information services

The Tax Agency makes the "INFORMA Program" available for the citizens on line, a database that contains, in a question-answer format, the main application criteria of the tax regulations. In 2012, the number of accesses to this program has reached 4,484,883, 34 per cent less that in 2011.

A Basic Tax Information Call Centre Service (901 33 55 33) on the main taxes is likewise available from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 7pm (except in the month of August in which the service hours are from 9am to 3pm). In 2012 it has answered to 6,243,355 calls, compared to the 5,701,643 ones in the previous year, which means an increase of 9.5 per cent.

It has also sent citizens more than 72 million informative letters and has published practical user guides on the main taxes (257,000 copies), and also many informative leaflets, like the taxpayer's calendar, bookmarkers with the phone numbers of the Tax Agency's services, posters of the taxpayer's calendar and leaflets of the electronic DNI (Spanish National ID).
