4.2.5. Assistance plan for people with disabilities

Since 2004, a co-operation agreement has been in place involving the Tax Agency and the Spanish Committee of Representatives of People with Disabilities and ONCE (the National Organisation for the Blind). Under this agreement, the Tax Agency approves an Annual Assistance Plan for People with Disabilities in agreement with these bodies. The plan includes information and assistance activities, the accessibility of the Tax Agency's website and offices, educational activities geared towards raising awareness among Tax Agency staff with regard to the needs of this group, etc. During 2016, practically all of the aspects set out in the Annual Plan have been fulfilled.

Furthermore, the demand for statistical information from signatory Associations of the Agreement continued to be met in 2017, with the publication of statistics regarding 2014 and 2015 Personal Income Tax data from all taxpayers with disabilities. The Tax Agency's commitment in relation to this group is to maintain this publication in future periods, increasing the series of statistical publications based on taxes that are accessible on the Tax Agency's website.

The following chart in the Appendix shows the situation during 2016:

Table 44. Accessibility to the Tax Agency's buildings (Annex)

Buildings now have an accessibility level of 97.62% (90.9% main entrances + 6.7% alternative entrances). Buildings with adapted toilets represented 73.91% of the total. With regard to lifts, it is important to clarify that there are buildings, essentially Administrations, that have only one storey and in which no lift is therefore required.
