Law on Transparency

On 10 December 2013, Act 19/2013, of 9 December, was published, on transparency, access to public information and good governance, to take effect one year later. The Tax Agency, following the provisions of the Act, created the Unit to manage the right to public information (UDAI), which, up to 31 December 2017, received 297 requests for information, 18 of which were forwarded to other bodies and 279 were processed, whereby 129 were granted (48 partially); 86 were rejected; 59 were not accepted; 2 requests were withdrawn by the requester, and 3 more were archived.

Out of the 297 requests resolved, 39 were subject to a claim with the Board of Transparency and Good Governance, whereby 12 were admitted, 6 partially admitted, 14 dismissed and 3 disregarded due to untimeliness, and 4 suspended in the period to issue a ruling.

From the analysis of these requests, it is deducted that there are not any questions that are repeated periodically. Among the relevant topics are those related to human resources, contracts, auctions, tenders, the fight against fraud, and tax statistics.
