4,1,7. Law on Transparency

On 10 December 2013, Act 19/2013 of 9 December on transparency, access to public information and good governance was published, entering into force a year later. The Tax Agency, following the provisions of the Law, created the Management Unit for the right of access to public information (UDAI).

Throughout 2021, the Tax Agency resolved 207 requests for information, of which it forwarded 4 to other organizations and processed 203, of which it granted 98 (39 of them partially); It denied 15 and rejected 86, with the applicant withdrawing 4 requests.

Of those 207 requests resolved in 2021, 23 of them were the subject of a claim before the Council for Transparency and Good Governance (CTBG), resulting in 7 estimated, 2 partially estimated, 1 estimated for formal reasons, 4 rejected and 9 resolutions claimed on which The CTBG had not yet issued a statement as of December 31, 2021.

From the analysis of these requests it is observed that there are questions that are periodically repeated, especially on statistical topics. Among the most relevant topics subject to the requests, those related to human resources, contracts, tenders, fight against fraud and tax statistics stand out.
