July 14, 2026. Customs Surveillance officials from the Tax Agency and agents of the Civil Guard, during the morning of June 24, dismantled a drug sales point after carrying out three raids and searches in the town of Alcolea del Río, within the framework of operation 'Axati'/ 'Guizmodo' and arrested six people and investigated two others for alleged crimes of drug trafficking, criminal organization, money laundering and electricity fraud.
The investigation, which began at the end of last year, has been carried out jointly by the Seville Operational Unit of Customs Surveillance and the Investigation Area of the Main Post of Lora del Río of the Civil Guard. The investigation began after a drug dealing point was detected at the home of the main suspect.
According to the investigation, the property functioned as an active drug distribution point that supplied dozens of consumers daily, becoming until the date of the operation the most active point of sale in the Sierra Norte and the Vega del Guadalquivir of Seville. Furthermore, the main suspect allegedly distributed narcotics in various neighboring towns, including Villanueva del Río y Minas, Tocina, Los Rosales and Carmona.
The investigations also revealed that, allegedly, those responsible retained identity documents and health cards of numerous consumers as a guarantee to ensure payment for the substances supplied.
As a result of the operation, more than 70,000 euros in cash, a 20-gram rock of high-purity cocaine, a 15-gram rock of high-purity heroin, 120 grams of hashish, 500 doses of methadone, a plantation consisting of 150 marijuana plants, 500 grams of cutting agent, 500 grams of marijuana, two high-end vehicles valued at around 100,000 euros, five mobile phones, a significant amount of national identity documents and health cards, as well as tools used for cutting, preparing and distributing narcotic substances, have been seized.
Investigators estimate that, with the quantities of cocaine, heroin and cutting agent seized, approximately 500 doses of the well-known mixture called 'rebujao' could have been produced.
The operation has resulted in the arrest of six people, all residents of Alcolea del Río, as well as the investigation of two others for their alleged participation in the organization under investigation.
The investigation remains open, so further actions are not ruled out.
