Here you will find general information on the tax (place of taxation, tax rates, invoicing, VIES, etc.) as well as specific content of interest for corporations (studies, public consultations, Commission guidelines, VAT Committee documents) and for private individuals (VAT refunds for tourists, buying and selling of automobiles or online purchases, inter alia)

In addition to the above, the website compiles basic information on the application of VAT in the different Member states, as provided by the respective tax authorities.
