Who is the Special Regime for Travel Agencies applicable to?

This regime is applied to travel agencies, organisers of tourist routes and, in general, any business or professional when the following requirements are met:

  • They are acting in their own name with respect to travellers.
  • They use goods or services supplied by other businesses or professionals in the organisation of the trip.

The regime is not applicable when the travel agency uses its own transport methods or hospitality services. If trips are organised using both own and third-party means, this special regime is only applied to the services provided by third-party means.
