Information Note 22/2024
Informative Note 22/2024 of December 4 from the Department of Customs and Excise, on container identification in exports with indirect exit.
In order to correctly identify the container with which merchandise declared for export at another customs office enters an exit customs area, it has been considered appropriate to recall the procedure to be followed at said customs office.
The CC507 message may include discrepancies with respect to the data that was declared, and is especially indicated in those cases where, having declared the goods in a container, the number of the container was unknown at the time of filing the declaration, but is known at the time of its arrival at the customs office of departure.
To do this, in the export declaration, in the corresponding data group CONSIGNMENT, in the container indicator, they will indicate 1, since it is in a container. And in the TRANSPORT EQUIPMENT data group, in the container identification number data they will include the expression: DISCREPANCYCC507.
Thus, when they send the CC507 message notifying the arrival at the exit customs office, they must indicate with a 1 in "EXPORT OPERATION/Discrepancies, that these exist in the container number field, of the transport equipment group, and include the actual container number with which the merchandise will enter the premises of the exit customs office.
It is also worth clarifying that with message CC507 containing discrepancies, the declaration is not rectified. If this were the declarant's wish, instead of using the indicated procedure, he could modify the declared container number with the real one with the message CC513 before the goods arrive at the customs of exit. And there it will still present CC507 without including discrepancies, since the exit customs will receive the rectification of the container before it arrives.
