CAU import declaration. Relationship between buyer and importer and exporter and seller.

In the CAU import declaration, the following must be observed:

1.- Importer vs. Buyer (importer vs. buyer)

  1. a) There is only one buyer:

If it is the same as the importer: It is not necessary to declare the buyer.

If different from the importer: must be declared in the subheader (GoodsShipment

Affects all items (GoodsShipmentItem).

  1. b) More than one buyer:

Buyers must be declared at the item level (GoodsShipmentItem) and not

in the subheader (GoodsShipment). Since there are several buyers and the transaction is at the batch level, all batches must be reported to the buyer, even if they are the same as the importer.

Note: If the requested procedure (RequestedProcedure) is one of {71,51,53,82}, or the additional procedure (additionalProcedure) is F15 or the additional declaration type (additionalDeclarationType) is {B, E, C, F}: so NO the buyer can declare.

2.- Exporter vs. Seller (exporter vs. seller).

  1. a) There is only one seller:

If it is the same as the exporter: It is not necessary to declare the seller.

If different from the exporter: must be declared in the subheader (GoodsShipment). Affects all items (GoodsShipmentItem).

  1. b) More than one seller:

Sellers must be declared at the item level (GoodsShipmentItem) and not

in the subheader (GoodsShipment). Since there are multiple sellers and the process is at the batch level, all batches must report to the seller, even if they are the same as the sender.

Note: If the requested procedure (RequestedProcedure) is one of {71,51,53,82}, or the additional procedure (additionalProcedure) is F15 or the additional declaration type (additionalDeclarationType) is {B, E, C, F}: so NO the seller can be declared.
