How to report discrepancies in a transit transaction before its completion
As a result of the numerous incidents received regarding the possibility of reflecting in the G4 the discrepancies associated with the preceding transit, the following information is recalled.
There are two ways to generate a G4 subsequent to a transit (NCTS), provided the location configuration allows it:
-
GG (G4 generated on completion): Typically, G4 is generated by a transit after itscompletion with the message CC044CEnt, using the traffic data itselfincluding any possible discrepanciesdeclared. As reported on 04/02/2026Unlike DSDT generation, G4 generation occurs at the time of transit completion, not at transit reception.
-
GP (previous G4):exceptional casein which the economic operator is choosing thatdo not generate automaticallyThe G4 at the time of the completion of the transit, because there is already one or more G4 declarations, whose numbers are provided. Exceptionally and with justification, one or more previous G4s may be declared whose reference will be declared at reception of traffic and will cross with traffic.
When the operator sends the CC044C transit discrepancy message, these discrepancies should already be correctly identified in this message. Once the transit is completed after sending the CC044C, the corresponding G4 will be generated with the same transit data.
If the transit is not finalized correctly because the discrepancies declared in the CC044C are not correct, the G4 will be generated incorrectly, because it replicates what is in the transit.
2)If they have declared G4 previousThe procedure to follow from the receipt of the transit, in order to declare discrepancies in the CC044C message, will be as follows:
-
The operator sends the reception message CC007C with previous G4. These previously declared G4s must have the same total packages and weight as the original transit.
-
Subsequently, you will need to modify the previously declared G4s(with the G4Update, G4Revoke messages and/or additional deconsolidations with G4Dec-F5) and adapt the total packages and kilos of the G4 to how they will be in transit once the CC044C message has been sent.
-
Once the G4 has been adapted to the correct packages and weights, The operator will now be able to send the message CC044Cof the traffic indicating the corresponding discrepancies.
It is important to clearly state any discrepancies before the finalization of the transit. As a general rule, once the transit has been completed, it cannot be modified.. As an exception, in national transits, it may be requested to customs to undo the finalization in order to correctly declare the discrepancies. This possibility is subject to the customs authority's discretion in each case and is only permitted for exceptional cases of error.
