Introduction
Find out what the Customs one-stop shop is for and why it is being introduced.
The Commission for the Reform of Public Administrations included a measure for the implementation of a Customs Single Window ( VUA ) that would allow, among other issues, centralize the information and documentation sent by economic operators to the different authorities related to foreign trade, avoiding duplication and facilitating administrative processing.
As a result of this measure, the VUA has been implemented, which is described in the document “technical description of the Project” and which includes the construction of the VUA so that the operators, the Tax Agency (AEAT), the Border Inspection Services (SIF ) and State Ports (PdE), can record and obtain the necessary information for foreign trade operations. This project has been defined in an open way, so that the operator will be able to choose when he is interested in entering it, although it is important to emphasize that, to ensure the coordination of all the Services involved in a possible physical recognition of the merchandise , the ideal is to send the information to the system as soon as possible.
