Introduction
Find out what the Customs one-stop shop is for and why it is being introduced.
The Commission for the Reform of Public Administrations included a measure for the implementation of a Single Customs Window ( VUA ) that would allow, among other things, to centralize the information and documentation sent by economic operators to the different authorities related to foreign trade, avoiding duplications and facilitating administrative procedures.
As a result of this measure, the VUA described in the document “technical description of the Project” has been implemented and includes the construction of the VUA so that operators, the Tax Agency (AEAT), the Border Inspection Services (SIF) and State Ports (PdE), can record and obtain the information necessary for foreign trade operations. This project has been defined in an open manner, so that the operator can choose when it is in his/her interest to enter into it, although it is important to emphasise that, in order to ensure the coordination of all the Services involved in a possible physical recognition of the merchandise, the ideal is to send the information to the system as soon as possible.
