Note: Currently, Mozilla Firefox, in versions prior to 52 , is the only browser compatible with procedures that use Java on the Tax Agency website on Linux systems. Additionally, only distributions that support official Oracle Java 8 are supported.
Alternatively, it has been verified that, in the case of Linux, the Pale Moon browser also responds correctly to the execution of Java and the use of a certificate. Therefore, is the option that we recommend for those few procedures that require Java when accessed with the Linux OS and Firefox is already installed.
If you do not have Firefox installed you can choose this procedure or install a version of Firefox lower than 52.
The solution of using an old version of Firefox is still useful, however this method avoids duplication of installations and obsolete browsers.
You can expand this information by visiting the Java website.
To ensure that it works correctly in the Mozilla Firefox browser (version before 52), it is recommended that you have the latest available version of Java installed.
If you do not have the most up-to-date version of Java, you can download it from the official Java website.
Additionally, you can get help from the information available in the "Help Resources" section on the Java page.

In Mozilla Firefox check that you have JavaScript activated from "Edit", "Preferences", "Content", "Enable Javascript".
Check the Plug-Ins from the "Firefox" menu or "Tools", "Add-ons", "Plugins". "Always activate" should appear. If this option does not appear in the drop-down menu, we choose "Ask to activate".
It is possible that Mozilla Firefox detects some of the Java Plug-Ins as vulnerable. It is always necessary to activate the execution of the Plugins when the browser warns it. To do this, check "Always activate".
If the IcedTea plugin appears, on the other hand, it must be deactivated.
If a colored piece appears next to the address bar warning about the Java plugin, click on it and select "Allow and remember."
