How to add forms to the Informative Tax Returns Platform (latest version)
Once the Informative Tax Returns Platform is installed, you must add the Forms, which are the components that permit you to create, fill out and obtain the Tax returns. If you still have not added a form, the "Manage forms" window will be empty.
The forms for 2016 that can be added to the Informative Platform are forms 184, 190, 347 and 349, as well as form 349 for 2017. All other forms for 2017 onwards have corresponding procedures for filing them in the E-Office.
In the upper part of the program you will find the options for including the necessary forms onto the Platform. In the menu "File", "Add new form" you also have two options for adding forms to the Platform: "Add new form from Web" to connect automatically to the page and check the forms available from the version, or through the option "Add new form from File", if you have already downloaded the .jar files from the website.

Clicking on "Add new form from Web" will launch a wizard from which you can download and add the forms you have not yet added to the application.
Select the Forms you want to add to the program.
If an error occurs in the connection (if you log on through a proxy, you may have to adjust the settings in "Tools", "User Preferences", "Web", "Connection" on the Platform), you must add them manually through the option "Add new form from File".

To add them manually, you must first download the forms from the download page of the Informative Tax Return Platform and the tax return forms; the files are available by fiscal year in the section "Informative tax return forms that can be filed with the help program".
Then, click on the link for 2016, or for 2017 if you have to add form 349 for that year.
Click on the form you need to add; save it, for example, on your Desktop (or in C:\ AEAT \Information\Download, which is the path where the program stores them by default). The files for each form must have the file extension .jar.
It is important that you do not open them or compress them, just save them as they are.
Then, you have to add the saved form from the Informative Tax Returns Platform. To do this, go to the upper menu "File", "Add new form", "Add new form from File", select the .jar file and download it to your Desktop (or the folder where it's saved) and the form will be added to the list of available forms.
Once the form is added, a message will appear asking if you want to open the form added. If you click "Yes", you will be taken straight to the "Manage forms" window with the list of available forms.
You can also check if the form has been added correctly from the menu "File", "Open form". Selecting the added form will enable the "Open" button.
Forms are displayed empty until a new tax return is created and the corresponding details are entered. Details entered are saved automatically each time a form is closed or the program is shut down.
