Electronic certificates on iOS mobiles
Skip information indexiOS Error 403
Error 403 on devices with IOS system can be due to 3 main causes:
-
There are no valid certificates on the device. The certificate may be expired, revoked, damaged, or comes from an invalid copy (.cer). It is also possible that you do not have any certificates installed in the IOS certificate store ("Settings", "General", "Profiles"). If the "Profiles" option does not appear, it means that no certificates are installed.
Under "Profiles" both downloaded root certificates and personal certificates are displayed. Select a certificate and click "More details" to check the validity date.
Check the correct functioning of the certificate on the website of the issuing entity. If you are from FNMT access with Safari to: https://www.sede.fnmt.gob.es/certificados/persona-fisica/verificar-estado and check the information related to the certificate. If the certificate is correct the message will be "Your certificate has just been verified. You are in possession of a digital certificate FNMT Valid and not revoked . Your certificate is working correctly."
-
You are using a not recommended browser .
The supported browser is "Safari" since "Google Chrome" and "Mozilla Firefox" do not manage certificates on IOS systems.
-
The certificate has not been selected correctly in the signing process.
Restart your browser and select the appropriate certificate when signing. When you exit an application, such as the browser, it may not close completely. Normally the process remains active. To close the browser use the task manager. To open the task manager, quickly double-click the start button, which is located by default (depending on the version) at the bottom. Drag the app out of that list and it will be completely closed.
We recommend deleting temporary files and browser cache so that the error does not recur due to being stored in memory. In Safari, go to the system's "Settings" menu and select "Safari." Next, click on “Clear history and website data” and press “Clear history and data”.
After successfully restarting the browser, if the 403 error occurs again after the previous checks, go back to the previous window using the arrow and access the same procedure window again. In this way, it is now possible to choose the correct certificate.
