Prior considerations for using the remote support tool for Zoom on Linux
If you already have Zoom installed
If the Zoom application is already installed on your computer, open it and click on Entering a meeting.

Next, enter the meeting ID provided by the agent. Check the boxes Do not connect the audioand Deactivate my videoand click on Join.

Next, also include the access code provided by the agent.

You can now join the meeting. You will enter a waiting room, the agent will accept the connection and you will be able to start the meeting.


If you don't have Zoom installed
If you don't have Zoom installed or aren't sure, access it from the Electronic Office at Remote support tools - Technical help and press Download for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

At the top of the Zoom page, tap Join. If you prefer, you can also download the application from the corresponding option at the bottom.

Enter the ID provided by the agent and press Enter.

In the next window you can join from your browser, or from the Zoom Workplace application.
Join from your browser
Note: If you use this option, it is recommended that you do so from a different browser than the one you will use to resolve the incident or carry out the procedure, as it may be necessary to restart/reset the browser and this would mean abandoning the meeting.

After selecting this option, continue without camera or microphone, enter the name you want to be displayed in the meeting, and press Enter.


Join from the Zoom Workplace app
Press Join from the Zoom Workplace app. If it's not installed, press Download now.

Install Zoom
From the Zoom website, select the options corresponding to your operating system and click Download.

Once the download is complete, perform the installation

Once the application is installed, follow the steps indicated for when the application is already installed: Open Zoom and enter the meeting with the ID and access code provided by the agent, without audio and without video.
Screen sharing
Once inside the meeting, the agent will ask you to share your screen so they can view the issue. Press Share screen At the bottom, select Full screen or entire screen and click on Share.

Next, in the new window that will open, select Screen/ Desktopand press Share

End meeting
To end the meeting with the agent, press the button. Abandonlocated at the bottom of the screen.
