Electronic filing of Customs and Non-Customs Depot Documents
In order to facilitate presentation of declarations and make it easier for operators to meet their tax obligations, the Tax Agency's Customs and Excise Duties Department offers taxpayers the possibility of presenting their customs declarations online.
By using a Telecommunications system, and using web services according to the specifications of the technical guides of the Tax Information Technology Department, it is possible to electronically submit Customs Warehouse Documents: DVD (Customs Warehousing SAD), IDA (Inclusion in Customs Warehouse), RUN (Conversion of Units) and TRS (Transfer between Deposits of the same holder or into a Deposit with Direct Debiting).
Procedure
The telematic transmission of the XML file is carried out over the Internet using web services that use the SOAP protocol, with the only requirement being to be in possession of the User Certificate (electronic signature) granted by the National Mint and Stamp Factory. For more information on obtaining and using it, see here .
It is possible to know the status of a customs declaration sent electronically, provided that it has been received in the Customs information system. To access the query it is necessary to have a valid user certificate issued by the Spanish Mint (Fábrica de Moneda y Timbre) installed in the browser. For security purposes, only tax returns filed by the holder of the certificate can be viewed.
