File import errors
Skip information indexFRECH. The file was rejected ENCODING
If when importing a file into a web form or when reading a file for submission, the message "FRECH. The file was rejected. No record was imported", together with the code "ENCODING", means that the file has been generated by an external program with an unsupported character set or special characters have been used when entering the data (apostrophes, accents, etc. ).
In this case, it is recommended that you contact the support of the application you used to obtain the file. However, you can carry out the following checks:
- Open the file with a text editor, for example Windows Notepad. Go to the "File" menu, "Save as" and in the "Encoding" drop-down menu, choose type " ANSI ". Change the name of the file before clicking the "Save" button to avoid overwriting the original file. Try importing the file again.
- If it persists, reopen the file with a text editor and use the "Find and Replace" tool to locate special characters such as apostrophes, accent marks, umlauts, etc. and replace them with a space. Save the file again with a name other than the original one and try to import the file now.
If the error continues to appear, report the errors to your program vendor for more information.
